Do you want to take part in a journey towards a truly international future for engineering students? And are you interested in playing a part in EU-projects? Then this 25-hour part time position, may be of interest to you.

The Office for Study Programmes and Student affairs (AUS) is seeking a new colleague to take part in our ambitious European initiative – EuroTeQ – and to assist with task related to our International Joint Programmes. 

AUS is organized into six offices with about 90 employees. AUS’s mission is to develop and support the educational process at DTU, with a focus on our students.

The part time position as Project Assistant is placed in the Office of International Education, where you will join a group of 23 highly competent colleagues. Together our assignment is to create the best possible framework for strong in- and outbound student mobility and contribute to the recognition of DTU as an international elite university with a global learning environment, who equip its graduates with a strong skillset to work globally.

The office is divided into four teams – and you will be placed in Team Exchange, which is made up of 12 colleagues. Team Exchange has student mobility at its very core – including all the processes that support and enable students to complete part of their education abroad or take a virtual course at a partner institution. The team consists of colleagues who work with international partnerships and educational collaboration, where semester exchange is at the center, other colleagues work with the formal recognition of courses taken at other institution in terms of credit transfer – and yet other colleagues work with strategic initiatives with selected international partners.

You will be a part of our strategic initiatives – where our EU project EuroTeQ and our international joint programmes play a key role. Your role will be to assist the DTU colleagues with different administrative tasks. 

Your daily tasks will not require knowledge of Danish – but as most of the administration works in Danish, you can expect to encounter Danish at larger meetings. We therefore expect from you, that you are on track to learning Danish.

The job
Your tasks will consist in the following

  • Be a key player in data registration – both in collecting, storing and distributing data – with partners and other stakeholders
  • Participate in relevant working groups in EuroTeQ, as needed
  • Distributing academic transcripts and other documents between partners - and other administrative tasks
  • Take part in promotional activities – such as events, fairs and pop-up stands
  • Answer emails from students regarding sign-up etc.

Our expectations of you
We expect that you

  • Are highly interested and motivated by working with an exciting international project funded by EU – with many international stakeholders 
  • Have a close eye and focus on data quality and understand the crucial role correct registration plays
  • That you are fluent in English and fell comfortable using this in a professional setting. You are expected to have the ambition of learning Danish – and understand that larger internal meetings may be conducted in Danish
  • See a 25-hour working week as a great fit for you

Our expectation is that you are likely to have finished your education recently. We do not expect that you have a ton of working experience – just that you are eager learn and that your interest fit the job description!

Salary and appointment terms
Salary and appointment terms are in accordance with the OAO-S Joint Agreement and the organization agreement for Office Clerks, Laboratory Technicians and IT staff (HK/stat). 

The position is a part-time position with 25 working hours a week in average. Starting date is February 1st (or according to mutual agreement).

The workplace is DTU Lyngby Campus. (or one of the other locations).
