We are looking for dynamic and dedicated Programme Managers for our executive programmes, where you will be responsible for admissions, planning, and delivery. DTU Learn for Life
DTU Learn for Life is the cross-university centre developing and coordinating executive and continuing education programmes at DTU - Technical University of Denmark at the Lyngby Campus.

We are a centre for a new strategic investment at DTU in relation to lifelong learning at DTU in a unique, dynamic university environment. DTU Learn for Life is DTU's platform for all forms of future management education and specialized continuing education based on technology, sustainability, and innovation. A showcase for DTU's teaching and research, which reaches out widely to businesses, authorities, and organisations both in Denmark and in the world.

We want to deliver world class continuing and executive education to the business world as well as to private and public organisations.

About our executive programmes
The DTU Executive MBA , also called Master in Management of Technology (MMT), is an intensive two-year master’s programme. The DTU Executive MBA is accredited by the Danish Agency for Higher Education and Science as well as AMBA, the Association of MBAs.

Our Master in Sustainable Leadership is an innovative, accredited programme integrating academic content into real-world cases and projects. Participants will practice everything they learn in a real-life context and a key feature is the immersive learning project, spanning the 2-year programme. 

Our Board Education Programme combines solid, academic research with first-hand experience from top business executives and board experts and provides the participants with knowledge and key skills to increase leadership competencies and build a board career.

Besides these three executive programmes, we have other executive programmes waiting to relaunch or completely new ones in the making. Growth and business development is part of the job. 

Responsibilities
The Senior Programme Manager is responsible for developing and planning executive programmes, while executing effective operations regarding programme recruitment and admissions, programme structures, and content together with the academic director, programme coordinators, faculty, and partners to help secure the overall success of the programme. Executive classes often take place outside of regular work hours meaning that programme managers regularly work on evenings or Saturdays.

Essential functions

  • Pursuing the goals of executive programme management according to strategic objectives for the designated programme i.e. business development.
  • Working closely with faculty and encouraging faculty involvement in the programme, both regarding development and delivery, making sure the programme follows internal and external quality and accreditation standards.
  • Responsible for preparing semester plans, and course preparation in collaboration with programme director(s), faculty, and programme coordinators.
  • Overseeing and enhancing the overall participant experience - in line with participant expectations and university policy.
  • Ensuring smooth day-to-day operations together with Programme Coordinators and Heads of Studies and continue to improve efficiency and develop productivity of programme procedures. 
  • Ensure the students are well supported throughout their entire academic journey.
  • Collaborating with marketing team to brand and market the programme online and offline, amongst corporations, DTU alumni and professional networks.
  • Recruiting high calibre student cohorts each year.
  • Collaborating with the participants’ companies and the sponsors within those companies.
  • Maintaining a close collaboration with the alumni organisation and our industry board. 

An experienced Senior Programme Manager
You have an academic background – bachelor’s or master’s degree – maybe even an MBA - and a strong track record in business education or higher education as programme director or programme manager familiar with managing complex dynamic programmes or similar project-based positions involving delivering educational or training content in unique learning environments. 

You have excellent organizational skills within programme management, complex projects, problem-solving, and negotiation. Experience from onboarding programme participants is strongly preferred, but other relevant experience in recruitment (e.g. marketing and sales) is also relevant. Strong command of project/programme management techniques for keeping track of programme details and budgets are key professional qualifications required. 

We are constantly striving to deliver excellent executive learning and integrating new megatrends i.e. digitalisation, sustainability, innovation, etc., and candidates with knowledge or interest in these areas are preferred.

  • Demonstrate a growth mindset and embrace knowledge-sharing as an authentic team player.
  • Excel at developing and supervising programmes - working with participants and faculty.
  • Possess a sales-oriented approach and outstanding recruitment skills.
  • Innovative mindset, especially around new ways of learning, leveraging technology, communicating, and imparting knowledge.
  • Continue to monitor performance and prioritize the needs for improvements.
  • Value ethical leadership principles, technology, innovation, and sustainability as core elements of a future-proof executive programme.
  • Self-starter and take ownership of issues within your mandate.
  • Experienced in running complicated projects, programmes, and schedules.
  • Quick at problem-solving, coming up with innovative solutions, and supporting changes and modifications in a dynamic learning environment.

With direct reference to the Head of Executive Education, you will work closely together with colleagues within the Executive programme teams, as well as the rest of Learn for Life and DTU.

Salary and terms of employment
Terms of appointment and payment according to the Agreement between the Danish Ministry of Finance and the Danish Federation of Professional Associations (AC) or any other relevant agreement.
