Are you eager to make a meaningful impact on the advancement of cost-effective treatments for snakebite victims and individuals affected by infectious diseases? Here's your opportunity to transform your expertise in venom, antibody, and antivenom research, along with your managerial skills, into tangible contributions. We are seeking a full-time researcher to the Centre of Antibody Technologies. In this pivotal role, you will drive the progress of our research initiatives focused on antibody discovery and development for snakebite envenoming and infectious diseases.
The Center for Antibody Technologies
The Center for Antibody Technologies specializes in various cutting-edge fields such as antigen design, antibody discovery, protein engineering, synthetic biology, and digital biotechnology. We work with a diverse range of protein scaffolds, including human monoclonal antibodies, nanobodies, and other binding proteins. These precision molecules play pivotal roles in combating diseases, diagnosing conditions, engineering microbiomes, and addressing challenges in industrial biotechnology.
Our focus lies in developing antibodies and binding proteins with unique properties, such as broad neutralization, conditional binding, anatomical targeting, and enhanced effector functions. To achieve our research objectives, we employ a combination of in vitro and in vivo discovery techniques. We collaborate closely with national and international partners, extending the reach of our scientific discoveries beyond the laboratory. Through these efforts, we aim to share the benefits of our research with the broader scientific community and society.
Our center is comprised of a dedicated team of approximately 30 full-time researchers and PhD students. We foster a highly collaborative environment that welcomes talented individuals from around the world, including students and guest researchers. Our primary goal is to attain scientific excellence by nurturing a culture of teamwork, ambition, dynamism, and inclusivity. This environment provides fertile ground for the development of fresh ideas and the continual expansion of the boundaries of scientific knowledge in the realm of antibody technologies.
