Do you like working with visual and digital communication? Then you may be the Communications Officer we are looking for at DTU Biosustain. We offer a position with 30 hours a week which runs till 31st December 2025 where the current funding of the Center is terminated.
Your team and your tasks
You will join a great team of 2 other part-time employees with each their area of expertise: one working with SoMe and press, and one working with internal communication. Your responsibility will be visual and digital communication. Moreover, you will be expected to act as project coordinator on communication projects, often in collaboration with the team leader. You will refer to the team leader of communications.
Overall, your primary responsibilities will be:
- Visual communication
- Make posts for info screens and lock screens
- Make templates in Indesign or Powerpoint
- Update booklets, brochures, posters etc. in Indesign and Canva
- Update infographics in Illustrator
- Photography and editing
- Video shooting and editing
- Digital communication:
- Develop guidelines for the use of Microsoft Teams in cooperation with the team
- Update and develop the centre’s intranet Inside using Sitecore, including advising other units on how to present their information
- Update the centre’s website using Sitecore
- Ad hoc tasks:
- SoMe tracking
- Update the centre’s organizational chart in Visio
Experience with communication in an international environment
You will be operating in an international environment with a complex stakeholder landscape and a lot of top scientists from all over the world. You will need a good organizational understanding to know who to reach out to in different situations and a good cultural understanding as we pride ourselves of embracing diversity.
The communications team is part of the centre administration which counts a number of complementary teams, whom you will be interacting closely with during the execution of your tasks.
Overall, we are looking for the following in a candidate:
- An education that provides you with a good communicative foundation
- Practical experience with visual and digital communication using the relevant software
- High level English skills
- An open-minded, cooperative, and positive approach

Salary and terms of employment
The appointment will be based on the collective agreement with the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations or other relevant collective agreement. The salary will be agreed upon with the relevant union.
We offer a position for 30 hours a week. Start date is 1st August 2024 or soonest thereafter and ending 31st December 2025.
