DTU Chemistry at the Technical University of Denmark seeks a highly motivated development engineer for an innovation project dealing with CO2 reforming funded by the Villum Power-to-X Accelerator program (https://vpx.dtu.dk ). You will occupy a position that is fully funded for a period of two years.

Reformable expects to spin out from DTU at the end of the two-year project. Therefore, we are searching for individuals who want to join our start-up adventure with a focus on technical development and commercialization.
The job
You will become responsible for designing a pilot plant for CO2 reforming. Your primary tasks will be to:
- Design and dimensioning of a pilot plant
- Perform energy balances and thermodynamic calculations
- Asses competitive technologies and downstream processes
- Evaluate and present results
Therefore, we are looking for a colleague with strong competencies within chemical engineering, process engineering, or similar, and a can-do attitude.
Our expectations of you
- Strong background in chemical engineering, process engineering, simulation, or similar
- Proactive, self-motivated, and capable of acquiring the skill and knowledge necessary to achieve objective goals
- Ability to work in a team
- Good communication skills
- Preferably, previous experience in a start-up environment or industrial experience
You are highly motivated, proactive, curious, and a fast learner with a can-do attitude. Hopefully, at the end of the project, Reformable will spin out from DTU with exciting new job opportunities.
We imagine that you have a master’s degree in chemical engineering or have a similar relevant educational background as a formal qualification.
Salary and appointment terms
The appointment will be based on the collective agreement with the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations (AC) or other relevant union.
The period of employment is 2 years. The starting date is May 2025 or according to mutual agreement. The position is a full-time position.
