The Research Group for Risk-Benefit performs quantitative health impact assessment of foods and dietary patterns, develops new and improved methods of performing risk-benefit assessments, and estimates the burden of disease. Population-based interventions are included as a discipline to optimize the developed risk-benefit assessment models. The interventions are developed as randomized and controlled and implemented from a disease prevention perspective. By using established biomarkers for disease and health and through the development of new biomarkers, the effect of the selected disease prevention strategies is estimated.
