DTU Skylab is looking for an experienced innovation professional with a strong background in climate and sustainability to lead the development and integration of climate-focused activities across DTU’s early engagement initiatives and startup programs.
As our new colleague you will play a central role in strengthening the pipeline and support structures for climate-related startups emerging from DTU. You will drive the strategic integration of climate and sustainability efforts across DTU Skylab’s programme architecture (from early engagement to startup journey), building on the experience of previous initiatives such as DTU Earthbound while further developing new formats, partnerships and support structures.
You will also contribute to strengthening DTU Skylab’s collaboration with Danish, European and international partners working at the intersection of climate, innovation and entrepreneurship.
About the position
As our new Innovation Consultant, you will take a leading role in developing DTU Skylab's approach to how climate and sustainability become an integrated part of our activities and are translated into practice across programs and initiatives.
Building close collaborations with colleagues and partners across DTU and externally, you will focus on strengthening the climate- and sustainability dimension within the DTU Skylab Startup programme and related offers for startups. This includes working with the Skylab startup support team to further develop and implement an ‘Earth track’ aligned with Skylab´s startup program and the new pre-scaleup track targeted at researchers and students. You will lead the development of module content with DTU and Skylab colleagues working on climate and sustainability, as well as relevant external partners.
Together with colleagues supporting community-activities, you will also help shape frameworks and initiatives for the continued development of a climate-focused startup community.
Within the Student Innovation Team, you will strengthen and develop complementary focus on climate in activities and programs offered within the inspiration, early engagement and idea-development phases. This includes working closely with colleagues across the Student Innovation team to identify opportunities for new partnerships, contribute to shaping and advancing climate-related cases and integrate relevant content/methods into programmes, as well as connecting these activities with the strong knowledge resources on this topic with DTU’s departments and centres.
What we imagine you bring
Min. 10 years of experience working with sustainable innovation, ideally also at the intersection of innovation, entrepreneurship and climate within a university-based innovation or startup environment
Strong experience in strategy development, programme design and partnership building within innovation and entrepreneurship
Proven experience establishing collaborations and cross-sector partnerships, track record in securing philanthropic or external funding is an advantage
An established network across Danish universities and innovation ecosystem, including familiarity with DTU’s ecosystem, network with other European and international innovation ecosystems is a plus
Experience with innovation methodologies and facilitation
Excellent communication skills in both English and Danish

Salary and appointment terms
The appointment will be based on the collective agreement with the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations (AC) or other relevant agreement.
The position is a full-time position. Starting date is 1st of August 2026 (or according to mutual agreement).
You will be employed at DTU Skylab, and the workplace is DTU Lyngby Campus, Kgs. Lyngby, Denmark.
