We are looking for a structured and independent part-time assistant to help us with the geotechnical testing at the laboratory.

The job
Your primary tasks will be to:

  • Perform soil classification tests
  • Prepare compacted soil specimens 
  • Carry out compression tests on soil specimens
  • Prepare data files for reporting of the test results
  • Documenting your work to enable continuity and usability by future researchers

Our expectations of you
We need a person who works dedicated to given tasks, has a sense of organization and orderly work. We expect that you have a basic understanding of soil behaviour and you are familiar with the methods for soil classification. It is considered as a benefit if you have previous experience in laboratory procedures for soil characterization.

Salary and appointment terms
Salary and appointment terms are in accordance with the OAO-S Joint Agreement and the organization agreement for Office Clerks, Laboratory Technicians and IT staff (HK/stat) or other relevant agreement.

Working hours are on average 20 hours per week and can be organized flexibly in relation to holidays, exams, etc. Starting date is 1st of February (or according to mutual agreement). The employment is for 3 months.

The workplace is DTU Lyngby Campus (or one of the other locations).
