DTU Earthbound - located at the university’s innovation hub DTU Skylab - is looking for someone with skills in conceptualizing and executing digital campaigns, curation, and content.
Who are we?
DTU Earthbound is a climate tech catalyst designed to mobilize, nurture and mature climate-relevant deep tech science across DTU’s academic ecosystem and hatch early-stage startups.
DTU Earthbound is embedded at DTU Skylab - the innovation hub of DTU with a vibrant community supporting diverse activities such as curricular courses, company collaborations, and start-up support programmes. In the 10 years that DTU Skylab has existed, it has become a dynamic innovation hub with 5000+ m2 of offices, teaching facilities, workshops, and laboratories.
The DTU Earthbound program is a tight-knit team of eight employees that work with both scientists and students at DTU to ensure that more research, ideas, and action on campus are targeted at the climate challenges we are facing. Over the next couple of years, DTU Earthbound is on a mission to mobilize and support new climate startups and see them spin out of the university into life as a company. To find these cases, we do extensive mobilization work around DTU’s many departments, initiatives, and students. This is where you come in.
Launched in November 2023, this new initiative is made possible by DTU, its innovation unit DTU Skylab and the early-stage venture house, PreSeed Ventures.
Your main tasks are:
- Create mobilizing content for SoMe and web which includes everything from writing engaging stories to making fun reels
- Write copy
- Maintaining our website
- Drive alumni efforts for our cases and entrepreneurs
- Bring new content ideas to the table for our platforms
- Coordinate communications support to our cases (photo shoots, videos etc.)
- Support the team in mobilization events
- Support with visual communication tasks (We use Adobe).
- Assist and help with data analysis from our digital platforms.
Requirements
To succeed in the role, you:
- Study Communications or a similar degree.
- Know how to write engaging and clear content in both English and Danish.
- Know how social media work and current trends.
- Interested in the world of tech, innovation, and entrepreneurship.
- Possess great teamwork skills.
- Proactive and a positive attitude to solving tasks.
- Know your way around in creative apps from Adobe.
Terms of employment
We expect the appointment to be based on the multi-union collective agreement for the Organizations of Public Employees—Denmark (State) (OAO-S) and the trade union agreement for clerical staff etc. (HK/State) or the collective agreement with the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations (AC).
Working hours are on average 15 hours per week and can be organized flexibly in relation to holidays, exams, etc. Starting date is 1 June 2024 (or according to mutual agreement).
You will be employed at DTU Skylab, and the workplace is DTU Lyngby Campus, Kgs. Lyngby, Denmark.
