The Climate and Energy Policy Division at DTU's Department of Technology, Management and Economics offers a part-time employee position in the Energy Economics and Modelling section. The section conducts research on how to upgrade and operate energy systems and markets with large amounts of variable renewable energy at the lowest possible societal cost.
We are looking for a skilled, experienced assistant with an interest and experience in energy system modeling.
The job
The assistant will be involved in two research projects applying energy system models: PtX Infrastructure, where global sensitivity analyses are developed for hydrogen and CO2 infrastructures and GREAT, where focus is on implementation of flexibility measures.
The assistant tasks will be to support the projects related to the following parts of the projects:
- Modeling and Optimization using Balmorel model, coupled with Optiflow
- Development of tools to present and analyse results
- Comparison of different optimization methods
- Conducting global sensitivity analysis using computer science methods
Our expectations of you
We expect you to be a team player, dedicated, with flair for data management and systematic analysis. We expect you to have an engineering background and to have some experience with data management and energy system modelling, ideally with good programming competences in GAMS and experience with the tasks mentioned above.

Salary and appointment terms
The appointment will be based on the collective agreement with the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations.
The period of employment is one year, starting as soon as possible (or according to mutual agreement). The position is a part-time position for 15 hours per week.
The workplace is DTU Lyngby Campus.
