We are looking for a part-time assistant with a background in programming and decision science to support research activities on a project at DTU Management, the Management Science division.
In the GREENFORCE project we aim at developing routing and scheduling algorithms for technicians in TDC-NET (the Danish telecom infrastructure owner) so they drive less, and hence save CO2 emissions. Work description
The job as a research assistant will among other tasks involve:
- programming
- data processing
- running tests
- writing reports
You will be part of a team of a research team consisting of 2 PhD students and 1 other research assistant.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with strong qualifications in combinatorial optimization (e.g. DTU course 42114 “Integer Programming”) and network routing algorithms (e.g. DTU course 42115 “Network Optimization”).
Furthermore, you should have good experience with programming and decision science.
You must be service-minded, used to working independently, and be proficient in English.
Terms
Working hours are on average 15 hours per week and can be organized flexibly in relation to holidays, exams, etc. Starting date is 1 September 2024. The employment is for 6 months.
The workplace is DTU Lyngby Campus.
The appointment will be based on the collective agreement with the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations (AC). You are employed as an Academic Employee.
