Do you want to be part of Denmark's most ambitious ClimateTech initiative?

As a Project Assistant, you will be a part of an exciting and dynamic environment where the focus on new technologies, startups, and cultivating a valuable community is paramount. You will be part of a new, ambitious, and lasting initiative to increase the number of university startups within climate technologies.

Background
The world is asking for positive change for the climate, the environment, people, and society. One thing is to have the intention of contributing positively to the world - quite another is to ensure that action is put behind the words. We have combined strong technical and commercial competencies to create Earthbound, Denmark's most ambitious ClimateTech initiative. Built at DTU, Earthbound is a rallying point for finding new technologies, ideas, and talents and giving them the proper means and opportunities to become a commercial success that can create a climate-positive change for the world.

Your role
As a Project assistant, you will contribute to building an entrepreneurial ecosystem for ClimateTech startups at DTU, involving research and industry as central stakeholders. In Earthbound you will work closely with the broader team, including the Skylab Innovation Partners.

You will play a central role in:

  • Mapping the needs and wants of potential ClimateTech founders among researchers and students at DTU.
  • Running surveys and provide user analysis.
  • Assisting with scouting for ClimateTech startups within DTU.
  • Preparing documents, presentations, and other materials.
  • Supporting the preparation of events
  • Supporting the program director and other team members in operational efforts.

We are looking for a Project Assistant who is analytical, with a burning passion for entrepreneurship and climate. In addition, we expect that you:

  • Can effectively absorb and analyse information and work out creative solutions to complex problems
  • Have strong social and communicative skills
  • Are proficient in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
  • Have a can-do attitude and able to adapt rapidly to a changing environment
  • Have excellent communication skills in English

Who are we?
We get up every morning to make a difference - and we mean it. We share the desire and willingness to inspire the business community, academic environments, the venture market, and other stakeholders in the Danish ecosystem to engage in the goal of creating a positive impact. In other words, we are not afraid to fight a little extra hard for our beliefs. We want to make what many people think is impossible possible.

Earthbound is a collaboration of the DTU innovation ecosystem encompassing DTU Skylab, PreSeed Ventures, DTU Center for Entrepreneurship, and DTU Science Park. The initiative is governed by a board representing these partners and DTU’s SVP for Innovation and Entrepreneurship.

Salary and appointment terms
The appointment will be based on the collective agreement with the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations (AC), and you will be employed as an Academic Officer.

The contract is a fixed term contract for one year, 20 hours per week. The starting date is 1 January 2024.

The workplace is DTU Skylab, Lyngby Campus.
