DTU International Partnerships is looking for a student assistant. 

You will become part of one of the university’s core support functions: Department for Office for Research, Advice and Innovation in the Partnership Office consisting of about 20 employees. You will work in the team "International Partnerships” consisting of experienced project managers, giving you quality sparring and guidance.

The job
In the team for International Partnerships, we develop DTU’s strategic international co-operation and create contacts with new collaboration partners. Thereby giving increased opportunities for researchers and students to collaborate with strong technical universities around the world. For instance, DTU is a member of established alliances like Nordic Five Tech and EuroTech Universities Alliance, in addition we have strong relations with several overseas universities. 

As our new student assistant you will help us update funding guides to assist DTU’s researchers wishing to apply for funding in co-operation with i.e., India or Mexico, collect data as well as carry out practical tasks in connection with visits to DTU by international collaboration partners. Moreover, we need support with:

  • desk research for different projects.
  • preparation of presentations and documentation in the department. 
  • creatin of online surveys and the evaluation of results. 
  • workshops/events, hereunder practical tasks.

Our expectations of you
We imagine that you are currently enrolled in a relevant university education program and share our interest in international collaboration. We are looking for a new colleague who:

  • Thrive on making complicated content easy to understand. 
  • Are fluent in English, both written and verbal – knowledge of Danish is an advantage. 
  • View new tasks as challenges.
  • Take both initiative and responsibility for your assigned tasks.

Salary and appointment terms
The appointment will be based on the multi-union collective agreement for the Organisations of Public Employees—Denmark (State) (OAO-S) and the trade union agreement for clerical staff etc. (HK/State).

Working hours are on average 10-15 hours per week and can be organized flexibly in relation to holidays, exams, etc. Starting date is November 1, 2024 (or according to mutual agreement). The employment runs as long as you are an active student.

You will refer to Ulla Høeberg Jørgensen, team lead in Department for Office for Research, Advice and Innovation. Your primary place of work will be DTU Lyngby Campus, Anker Engelunds Vej 1, 2800 Lyngby. Working from home to some extent will also be possible.
