Are you interested in internationalization and administration? Then you might be our new colleague at the Office for International Education at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU).

The Office for International Education is one of 7 offices in the larger administrative entity called AUS – The Office for Study Programmes and Student Affairs. AUS handles all tasks in connection with student administration such as enrollment, registration for courses and exams, student guidance etc

We have 21 permanent staff in the Office for International Education as well as a group of student assistants who work for the different teams in the office. The office is, among other things, responsible for recruitment of international students, enrollment, and guidance for international students as well as guidance for all DTU students who are interested in studying abroad as part of their studies at DTU.

The available position as student assistant
The job mainly revolves around assisting the team that works with Study Abroad for DTU students. 

The team consists of 5 permanent employees and 2 student assistants. Our goal is to send as many DTU students on exchange as possible, and to make sure that students are aware of all the possibilities available to them. The new student assistant will help us solve a lot of different communicative and administrative tasks in this connection – both at the desk and through different events about study abroad opportunities.

The job is continuously adapted to the needs of the ever-changing portfolio of our team, as well as to the competences of the individual student assistant, but the following tasks are to be expected as part of the everyday work of the student assistant: 

  • Data entry and information updates in various databases and systems.
  • Assisting in case work in connection to the Erasmus programme.
  • Arranging / taking care of practicalities for study abroad events
  • Assisting in handling documentation for students in connection with their exchange stays.
  • Assisting in case work in connection with scholarships.
  • Handling all outbound packages and other postal shipments.
  • Various ad hoc office tasks.

Your background - or rather our perfect candidate for the position:

  • is a great communicator in both Danish and English as well (Danish is preferred not required).
  • is skilled at IT work.
  • is well structured, thorough, quick to adapt to new situations and task - and capable of working independently.
  • is interested in working within study administration. 
  • has at least 2 years of studies left.
  • has already completed a study abroad.

Salary and terms of employment:
You will be employed as a student assistant according to the multi-union collective agreement for the Organisations of Public Employees—Denmark (State) (OAO-S) and the trade union agreement for clerical staff etc. (HK/State). 

Starting date: February 2024. Weekly work hours: Expected 10 hours per week (flexible schedule, however 2 workdays a week is preferred).

Place of work: DTU, Lyngby Campus, Anker Engelunds Vej 1, Building 101A. Working from home is generally NOT an option.
