With more than 1,000 users of Skylab’s prototyping facilities, we are looking for a colleague who enjoys working with technologies such as 3D printing, laser cutting, and electronics. You will play an important role in keeping our machines running, creating structure in our workshops, and supporting students and startups in developing their ideas. The role also includes contributing to Skylab’s role within the Technical University Hospital (TUH) at our satellite location near Rigshospitalet.

DTU Skylab is DTU’s hub for innovation and entrepreneurship. We offer an open and supportive environment where students, researchers, and startups explore early-stage ideas and prototypes. * Helping ensure that materials and spare parts are available and the workshop remains functional
* Contributing to the development of clear and safe workflows in the workshops
* Providing technical guidance and support to students and startups at TUH Skylab
* Supporting the maintenance of data collection systems across Skylab’s prototyping facilities

What we are looking for
We are looking for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of technology, people, and practical problem-solving. You don’t need to meet every requirement to apply – we value motivation, curiosity, and willingness to learn.

We imagine that you:

* Have a relevant technical or craft/trade background
* Have practical experience and preferably knowledge in prototyping technologies
* Enjoy creating structure and making things work smoothly in practice
* Are interested in (or have experience with) HealthTech or medical technology
* Feel comfortable communicating in English and have working proficiency in Danish

DTU Skylab has approximately 60 full-time employees across three sections. You will join the Technology Section, consisting of 13 colleagues. We work in an informal and inclusive environment where people support each other, share knowledge, and take pride in contributing to a meaningful mission.
You will collaborate closely with the Lead Coordinator for Rapid Prototyping and have the opportunity to influence how your work is organized.
