This PhD project aims to design atomically dispersed metal electrocatalysts that will enable the electrochemical production of hydrogen peroxide through the reduction of oxygen using renewable electricity. This reaction is critical to decarbonizing the hydrogen peroxide production industry, which currently generates over 20 million tons of greenhouse gases and 55 million tons of chemical waste annually....

The Department of Chemistry at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) is offering a 3-year PhD scholarship in the field of Physical Chemistry and Bioscience. The project will be carried out as a collaboration between DTU Chemistry, DTU Chemical Engineering, Novozymes A/S, and the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at Michigan State University.
